EMDR Certification and Consultation

To become certified in EMDR, a therapist must first complete an EMDRIA-approved basic training, which includes 10 hours of consultation. Following this, certification requires an additional 20 hours of consultation, with up to 15 of those hours eligible to be provided by an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant-in-Training (CIT).

Consultation sessions are 60 minutes long and focus on case review, clinical questions, and skill development. To ensure both proficiency and adherence to the EMDR protocol, Lauren requires a video recording of an EMDR session as part of the consultation process. Each session is $150.

Lauren offers a monthly EMDR certification consultation group at Flourish Therapy in Palmer, Alaska. These in-person group sessions provide consultees the opportunity to earn up to 10 hours toward EMDR certification.

Group consultation allows therapists to connect with colleagues, share clinical challenges, exchange ideas, and feel more integrated within the EMDR community. Each group is two hours long and costs $75.

General consultation is ideal for certified EMDR therapists or those not pursuing certification. These sessions offer a supportive space to discuss challenging cases, refine clinical skills, and deepen your understanding of EMDR and related approaches. Therapists can consult with Lauren to gain insight, enhance confidence, and strengthen their overall clinical effectiveness. $150 each session.

Lauren provides clinical supervision for individuals working toward their LPC credential. She is passionate about supporting emerging therapists as they navigate the challenges of early clinical practice.

Her approach is grounded in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Polyvagal Theory, with a strong emphasis on helping clients address root causes rather than solely focusing on surface symptoms. Each session is $150
